Mission Beach Weather & Climate
Mission Beach is found in a tropical climate. This means the weather is constantly humid and quite warm with abundant rain throughout most of the year. Mission beach is between the town of Tully and the coast. Tully is widely regarded as the wettest town in Australia with over 1000m of rain falling per month for the first 4 months of the year being common. Even the dry season, which occurs during winter for most of Australia, is still wet but not nearly as wet as in summer. With so much rain and rainforest it's easy to see why the humidity is so high.
The best months for travel to Mission Beach to get the best weather and swimming climate are spring and autumn. The humidity is lower and rainfall is less common. Summer is also cyclone season with massive winds and flooding always a possibility.
